NASCAR - Types Of Tracks
Short track - An oval track that is less than one mile in length.
Intermediate track - An oval track that is longer than one mile in length but is less than two miles in length.
Superspeedway - A racetrack that is longer than two miles in length. NASCAR requires restrictor plates on cars racing at these tracks.
Road Course - A racetrack that has both left and right-hand turns as well as possibly small hills as opposed to an oval track which is exclusively left-hand turns.
